Booming at times, delicate at others, the Country vocals of Brenda Burch navigate soulful territory. She has shared the stage with Neal McCoy, Collin Raye and Diamond Rio, among others, and has traveled overseas to perform at the Tokyo Dome in Japan as well as Asia Expo Centers in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Brenda has been featured on local and national talk shows, topped the European Country Music Charts, worked with Grammy award-winning songwriters, and has written songs for corporate conventions, DDR video games, commercials, and charitable causes. In addition to writing and performing her own material, she enjoys writing and producing for fellow artists, doing voice over work, scripting and hosting podcasts, and recording projects for producers around the world.
From the time Brenda was a baby, her parents were well-aware of, at least, the sheer volume of her voice. Her dad recalls that she cried louder than any baby he’d ever heard. Projecting her voice came in handy at three years old when she made her performance debut singing for an audience of two thousand. She began singing professionally at age six, recording the theme song for an educational film, and later recorded vocals for commercials and national children's albums.
Growing up, Brenda listened to and performed a wide range of music, but Country music was where she felt most at home. She also studied piano, dance and excelled at sports. Whether playing quarterback for her junior high Powder Puff football team or as captain of her high school volleyball team, music was always on her mind. However, it wasn’t until a near-death boating accident in her teens that she fully understood how much music meant to her. She knew there was a reason she’d been saved and had no doubt music would play an important part in her life forever.
While at college, Brenda studied hard and worked her way through school by performing and recording. She was asked to enter the Miss Provo competition, and to her surprise, won the scholarship title. It allowed her the opportunity to perform, participate in community service projects and engage in public speaking events. She graduated with honors from BYU and continues working on all facets of her music career.
Her self-titled album is an eclectic collection of songs that ranges from the energetic, boot-tapping, “You Are the Reason,” to the intimate, heart-felt ballad, “I’m Still Standing.” Also included in the mix is a song she wrote after learning about the Nourish the Children initiative, which has since been adopted as an inspirational anthem by thousands of supporters world-wide. Throughout the creation of the album she was able to collaborate with talented musicians and producers whose artist credits include Taylor Swift, Reba McEntire, Alabama, Lonestar, LeAnn Rimes and Tim McGraw.
Brenda's passion for entertaining and dedication to her craft shine through whether on stage or in the studio. She believes, “There’s nothing like connecting with others through music.” Putting heart and soul into everything she does, this petite powerhouse is making a name for herself both locally and abroad.
